Costume Closet Capers

First of all, as promised, here is a clip from the upcoming "MISS SAIGON" the musical! Maybe this will get you all excited to come see it.

This is my favorite part. Men's chorus? So hot right now... And always. And Ryan Norton is sensational. Except at the end. He has a little hiccup. But he's working on it. Enjoy--



Anyway. I've been doing tech hours in the costume shop with Monica (the costume director) a lot lately. She sent me down into the basement to find some peasant outfits for Kyle and Jake. Well, Cole Chollet decided to come with me. Which I was fine with, the basement is scary and quiet and I didn't exactly want to go alone anyhow. Well we get down there, and well, I'm not exactly sure how it happened, but all of a sudden he had his hand on the back of my head and we were making out. And we made out for a good fifteen minutes. So... that's that story. I was kinda desperate and he was more than willing.

As far as Joseph goes. I can't remember if I wrote about the date we went on, but here's the jist of how it went down:
1. Joseph picks up Alexa. He is wearing his signature long sleeved shirt and a baseball cap. She is in an electric blue polo shirt and a mini-skirt. She looks hot.
2. They walk to his studly white mini-van, while making awkward small talk.
3. They drive to the Flood Street dollar theater.
4. They see Sherlock Holmes. He spends $4 on two tickets.
5. He takes her back home on his white stallion... I mean, in the white mini-van.
6. He walks her to the door.
7. He gives her a hug. it is 9:00 PM.
8. He leaves, she goes inside.
9. She receives a text from him that says "Hey that was really fun. Would you be interested in going again sometime?"
10. She says, "sure. :) "

Well that was about a week ago, I believe. Ever since then during rehearsal he's been dying for my attention. I mean, it's sweet and he's a nice boy, but it's pathetic.
Yesterday he changed his Facebook status to say "Joseph needs to take a relationship class because, apparently, life experience isn't teaching him a darn thing about it!"
So Grant got on chat with him, and he, being my little spy, asked him a bunch of questions and sent me the conversation.


Joseph: I mean I don't know how to get a girlfriend. Apparently, dating isn't doing the trick.
Grant: Have you tried, oh I dunno, asking the girl to be your girlfriend?
Grant: Is there anybody in particular you're having a problem with?
Joseph: Yeah, but there's not enough evidence that she likes me, so I'll probably just be wasting my time.
Grant: I see. And who is this mystery woman?
Joseph: You probably wouldn't like me if I told you straight out, but I think you could figure it out on your own.
Grant: You fail to realize I'm the most oblivious guy on the planet. I can't even clue in when a girl likes me. Seriously. The first girlfriend I ever had, her ex-boyfriend had to tell me she liked me XD
Joseph: Think of all the girls you know. Would you get mad at me if I said one of them?
Grant: Nah dude. Unless I was going after them myself. Which I'm not really doing at the moment. And even then, I wouldn't get mad
Joseph: Alexa
Grant: XD Man, you and every other male at this school
Grant: Well, in that case I would definently advise not asking her out girlfriend wise. She's pretty dead set on not having a boyfriend for a while
Joseph: Is she waiting on a missionary or something?
Grant: No, nothing like that. Her last boyfriend was kind of a huge douche and she's trying to fix some stuff in her life right now. A boyfriend is just something she doesn't want right now.
Joseph: I guess I can understand that even though I've never been in the same situation. Thanks for the advice.
Grant: No problem, man. I hang with her a lot, so I know a little bit more about it.
I can say though, that there is a girl out there who likes you...I'm just not allowed to tell you.
DX Guh. I probably shouldn't have even said that.
Joseph: Do you think she's pretty?
Not alexa, but the other girl?
Grant: She definently can be
To me, she's not drop dead gorgous or anything
but she has this cuteness to her
Not really my cup of tea, but I think you two would be great for each other
Joseph: Do you know of any particular qualities that we have in common?
Grant: Wellll
You both love the gospel
You both are hard workers
You both are kinda oblivious to things XD
You both have quick wits and a pretty goofy sense of humor
Joseph: Tell me if I'm going too far with the questions, but is she in our acting class?
Grant: She is not
And no you're not
Joseph: Is she in the theatre department?
Grant: Yup
Joseph: Was she in Macbeth?
Grant: She wasn't IN it
but she was involved with it
She says she's terrified to act
Joseph: I know who it is, and I already knew that. lol
Grant: Oh bugga XD Well, at least I didn't spill the beans
Joseph: Just to make sure, it wasn't Grace Wells or Britney Kemp, right?
Grant: Nope
And it wasn't Tamsy either
Joseph: Haha!
Grant: If you don't mind me asking, why not ask her out? (assuming we're on the same page here)
Joseph: Because she doesn't attract me physically, and I like being a good friend to her better. lol
Grant: I understand that, and I feel ya
What we need is to find you a good medium between the two
I mean, no offense, but Alexa is wayyyy out of your league.
Joseph: What kind of people does she usually like to date? Sports stars?
Grant: XD Noooooo
Joseph: Do you say that because I'm not as tall as she is?
Grant: Kind of. But she's pretty tall. And honestly, there's a lot more to her than meets the eye. Stuff that might actually shock you. Again, I'm not at liberty to say what kind of things, but she's a pretty deep girl
And man, you're pretty innocent and a way great guy. I think she could definently use a guy like you, but fact is she might not go for you in particular
Joseph: Are there no girls that look like her that would?
Grant: No idea I'm not the best at reading girls
There definently MIGHT be a gorgous girl who likes the Return Missionary type
But I don't know a lot of gorgous girls insanely well
And again, the only reason I know so much about Alexa is because I hang out with her a lot
Joseph: It seems like all of the gorgeous girls that do like the returned missionary type are either in a relationship or waiting for their missionary. lol
Grant: Haha. Very true
I dunno man. I say just date around. Don't limit yourself to one type. After all, any one of these girls could be "the one"
Joseph: I'll keep that in mind. Thanks, Grant. If you ever hear of another girl that likes me, let me know with naming names just like today.
