I hope I will never have to give up my dreams.
Yesterday, as my grandma lectured me on the phone, she told me that all she wanted to do growing up was become a school teacher. Well, she married Grandpa Bill at a young age, and in order to put him through school she had to drop out and take a job working at ZCMI. Grandma never became a school teacher, and maybe that's why she's such a grump today.
I don't want to run off and get married on a whim and get stuck in one spot for the rest of my life. I don't want to spend the rest of my days stuck in a house, raising kids, doing laundry and housework, wondering "what if?"
Sure, marriage and kids will come in their own due time, but not for a good long while. I've got to check off everything on my pre-marriage bucket list first.
